Finishing up the year, we had a busy and fun month at MYPAS, with a lot of activities and news!

At the beginning of the month, we introduced Alt text to all of our social media posts. Alt texts help make our posts accessible to everyone, including people who use screen readers. They describe the content of images so that everyone can understand and enjoy our content.

We also held our last staff meeting of the year. Led by one of our Service Managers, the team took part in activities and games focused on Child Protection and Lone Working.

There were loads of prizes up for grabs – a fun send-off to the holiday season!

For the first time, we decided to launch a Christmas Campaign: “Little gifts, Big difference”.

Throughout the month, people had the chance to contribute through MYPAS’ JustGiving page, helping young people for 2026. At the end, we were delighted to announce our donors had contributed with a total amount of ยฃ263. Thank you to everyone once again!

The end of the year didn’t mean we stopped with our regular activities. One of our Wellbeing Project Workers had another cooking session at one of the homeless accommodations, supporting vulnerable young people and sharing a delicious mac n’ cheese recipe.

Another activity put together by one of our Wellbeing Project Workers was a Christmas tree ornament-making session, complete with some delicious pizza.

Our Drug & Alcohol staff also took time to do some Christmas crafts with our young people, and ended up with these amazing ornaments.

Our LGBT+ Social Groups also had a blast this month!

They watched The Grinch in a relaxed, funny evening that helped everyone connect and enjoy time together, made gingerbread houses, and had a Christmas party, with fun games and a personalised playlist.

Our staff also got involved in one last YPI Fair for the year in a school in East Lothian.

YPI (Youth and Philanthropy Initiative) gives young people the chance to learn about social issues, connect with local charities, and decide where real funding should go. We loved chatting with pupils about our work and seeing their curiosity and enthusiasm – and stress balls were a huge hit!

Finally, besides all the fun activities, we had the pleasure to announce that MYPAS now has a newsletter!
