We kicked off the year at full speed at MYPAS with a lot of activities and event promotions of all sorts.

Our Wellbeing Project Worker has been doing all kinds of fun activities with young people. The work we do at MYPAS is tailored around things that young people enjoy.

In one of the sessions, a young person chose to make a necklace that she was very proud of and wanted to showcase in our social media channels.

In another session, a group of young people enjoyed cooking a delicious curry together.

Our staff also took part in training this month. Colleagues from the Drug & Alcohol and LGBT teams completed sexual health training to become Healthy Respect partners. This important training strengthened the teamsโ€™ knowledge and skills, supporting them to better respond to the wide range of needs and experiences of the people they work with.

Finally, as the first event of the year (and aiming to do one a month), our LGBT+ social groups took a field trip to the Edinburgh Playhouse to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. They had an amazing time experiencing enjoying all the theatrics and dramatics, and it was most of the groupsโ€™ first time at the theatre:

“I thought it was amazing and I’m really happy I went to see it as a group”

“The show was AMAZING. I’m a big fan of rocky horror so getting to see the show is so much fun for me”
