MYPAS Services for Children, Young People and their Families

We deliver a number of services across East Lothian and Midlothian. These services are free, confidential and east to access.

Art Therapy

Helps young people aged 12-18 build confidence, increase their self-esteem and manage difficult thoughts and feelings. You don’t need to be good at art to do art therapy.

Our free, friendly, confidential and non-judgemental drug and alcohol service is for young people (aged 12 to 21) in Midlothian and East Lothian.

LGBT+ Support

We offer one-to-one support for all LGBT+ young people living in East Lothian and Midlothian.

We also run social groups which are safe and friendly spaces for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex & Questioning Young People. We provide these groups in Midlothian and East Lothian.

In addition to individual support and community counselling, MYPAS also:

  1. delivers school counselling to every primary and high school across East Lothian and Midlothian
  2. runs group work programmes for young people
  3. provides education sessions in schools as part of personal and social education (PSE)
  4. provides training for professionals on a range of topics relating to young people’s health and well-being
